Costume in Tokyo Square Dance Club
Up DateFMarch 16 2012

In our dancing, there are 3 important aspects: " the dance", "the music" and also "the costumes". Dancing in costume leads us into a refreshing world and makes the hall filled with excitement. In addition, when we dance in costume, it makes us feel younger, very happy and excited. At our regular meetings every week our costumes look like a flower garden and the bright smiles of our members are always in full blossom.

Club Costumes
The red costume is the official costume of our club; it is like our uniform. The red color expresses passion, and it shows the energy of our club. This is the costume that all the members wear for the first time at the graduation ceremony of the beginners class. All the members also wear it during the ceremony of our annual anniversary party. In addition, we also wear it when we participate at other events as a club, such as the All-Japan Square Dance Convention.

There is a person who made black to the red, too.

Yearly Costumes
We produce a eyearly costumef every year. The main activity of the "Costume Committee" is the production of our eYearly costumef. The committee members select the cloth, create the design and produce the new costume. They present it to the members and help them make their own. In that way the members can enjoy sewing and sharing the same costumes with their friends. Of course it not compulsory, but many members enjoy making these different costumes every year.

Commemorative Costumes
We hold a Commemoration Party every five years. For this important event, we want to foster solidarity within all the members.
To unify our members we produce a Commemorative Costume that we all wear at the event. It makes quite a big impression with everyone wearing the same costume.
